Method Of Applying Henna & indigo Mixture For Shades Of Brown/Auburn

In this method, soak the Henna overnight. Mix the indigo with water just before you are ready to use it. Thoroughly mix the henna paste with the indigo paste to form a mixture of both. Use a large percentage of henna to get a redder or brown shade. To get a darker brown, use a larger proportion of indigo. To get the blond shade use a larger percentage of cassia, add henna ratio into it and soak both together overnight and add indigo just before you are ready to use it.  To get a black shade, use the method of applying henna and indigo separately in two steps.

Everyone’s hair is different and a will take the color differently, depending on their base hair color.

Method Of Applying Henna & Indigo Separately For Black /Brown Shade 

Dye your hair first with henna to turn it auburn or red, then with indigo to turn it brown/black. To achieve the desired shade, leave the indigo on for the appropriate amount of time. The longer the indigo is left on, the darker it will be. If you leave it on for the maximum time, it can go black.

Remember this method darkens lighter shades or white hair. This method can never make dark hair lighter tones. For first-timers or with extremely damaged hair, there comes an adjustment period to settle this natural method on hair. Repeat applications two to three times may be needed for the required results. 

 

How much total amount of powder do you need?

• Root touch-up: 25-50 grams(2-4tbs)

• Shoulder length: 100-125 grams(6-9tbs)

• Mid-back: 150-175 grams(10-12tbs)

One kit has 100-gram henna and 100-gram indigo. For a root touch up one kit can be used 2-4 times depending on hair thickness. For Shoulder length, one kit is one-time use.

What is low PH acid Mix and why It is Necessary:

Organic Root provides an acidic mix complementary to the kit. You can choose one of the three given options while you buy this kit online. The acidic mix is used with henna while u make henna paste. It provides an acidic environment for henna. This helps the maximum release of dye molecules that stay longer and also gives better binding to hair keratin.

1-Citric Acid

Citric acid is a weak organic acid. It occurs naturally in citrus fruits. Adding in henna helps better dye release Citric acid improves the scalp condition by getting rid of dandruff and it increases the flow of blood, which in turn enhances and mends the follicles of the hair necessary for healthy hair growth. citric acid is a great compound to treat an itchy scalp, which leads often to hair loss and stops hair growth. 2-Amla

Amla is also called the Indian Gooseberry. It has vitamin C in it so it can be mixed with henna as an acid needed to activate the henna dye molecule. 3-Potassium bitartrate

Potassium bitartrate, also known as potassium hydrogen tartrate, with the formula KC₄H₅O₆, In cooking, is known as cream of tartar. For dyeing hair, potassium bitartrate can be mixed with henna as the mild acid needed to activate the henna. For dyeing hair, It tends to give henna an auburn shade. It is the mildest Low pH

If you do not want to use any of our given acidic mix you can use your own from the kitchen. Like Lemon, Apple cider vinegar Apple juice, Orange Juice, etc. If you choose to use lemon or ACV, they are gd acidic mixes but it can be drying for some hair types, so always dilute half and half ratio with water and then use this liquid to make henna paste. and follow the method

Storage:

Powder : 40°F to 80°F

Paste: Leftover henna or cassia paste can keep well in the freezer for later use but leftover indigo has to be disposed of, it does not keep well in the freezer.
